Step (Resolution Step Only)

Associated object of type Step allows you to easily reference another step within the same Resolution fault. It is essentially an internal link shown as button and limited to the scope of current fault.

Add link to a Step

1. Click Add associated object button (1). "Create Associated Object" dialog will appear. 2. Select Step for Associated Object Type (2) 3. Provide a Title (3). Title is the text of the button users will see at the bottom options bar. 4. Provide a Target Step (4). It will be one of the steps in the current fault (excluding the current). 5. Click Save (5). After dialog closes, Step will appear in associated items table.

Info: All associated objects of type Step are shown as button by default

You can now Click Save and View (6)

Edit link to a Step

1. Click Edit (1). An edit dialog will open. 2. Update information (2). 3. Click Save associated object (3)

Remove link to a Step

1. Click Delete button for associated Step (1) 2. Confirm removal (2) 3. Click Delete (3)

Tip: Removing associated objects of type Step does not remove actual Steps. To remove steps, please refer to Managing Resolution Steps.

Tip: You don't need to Save actual fault after editing associated objects of a step.
